Chefe da quinta

João Mendonça

Since his earliest memories, he knew farming was his path, learning valuable lessons from the challenges it brought. Inspired by the wisdom of his grandparents, he applied their teachings on reading animal behavior and the weather.

He fondly remembers milking cows by hand in the pasture. Today, he's proud of transitioning the farm to a regenerative model, seeing the land thrive with more earthworms, better rain absorption, and the return of wildlife.

He never imagined he would be doing his life’s work alongside his wife, who fully aligns with and loves their mission for the farm. Together, their goal is to create a peaceful place for visitors, promoting sustainable farming while continuing to care for the land his family has tended for generations.
Farm Guest Hostess

Gena Pinheiro

Never in her wildest dreams did she think she would become a farmer, but aligning with her heart and values has led her to a fulfilling life.

She enjoys crafting artisanal raw dairy products from their milk, welcoming visitors through farm tours, and connecting with the land and animals—all while working side by side with her husband to enhance sustainability year after year.
Farmhand

Erico Cabral

Érico, a young man from São Miguel, comes from a family of farmers and has a natural passion for working the land. He grew up surrounded by animals, excelling in the care of cows, especially in milking and operating the tractor.

He dreams of one day opening his own livestock farm, but for now, he is dedicated to Âmago Wellness Farm, where he admires the vision of João and Gena, who welcomed him and taught him about sustainable agriculture.

Beyond his work, he has a special bond with the dog Lola and the cow Primavera, beloved by visitors.
Sheep Dog

Lolita

Lolita is João's right-hand man—or rather, his four-legged helper. Lolita is a Fila de São Miguel, the offspring of João's parents' dogs. Before she was even born, she was already part of the family. She was born in October 2015 on the farm itself and grew up alongside the calves. Every morning when João arrived, her ears would be wet. It was a mystery until João found her sleeping in the manger, where the calves were trying to nurse from her ears. Lolita had already found her calling. João taught her how to guide the herd, running with her to show her the maneuvers and always using the same key words. Today, not only is she autonomous in her work, but she also understands both human language and the meaning of the truck's horn. She is a companion, a friend, and fiercely loyal. Lolita's loyalty to João, along with the affection she also shows for Érico, are truly admirable.
